Perpetua Cottage is a lovely cottage nestled among native plantings.  It has a beautiful view of the ocean from the back deck, living room, and the upstairs master bedroom.  This intimate Oregon Coast beach cottage sleeps six, and has two bedrooms and 2-baths.  You can cozy up to the lovely stone surrounded fireplace after a long day spent at the ocean's edge or curl up in the secluded window seat in the master bedroom and watch the sun set.  The master bathroom has a whirlpool tub for a relaxing soak at the day's end.  A fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer provide the necessary comforts of life. The name Perpetua shows up in the Yachats area after Captain Cook visited and named the cape that is just three miles south of Yachats.  Captain Cook was the first white man to really get credit for being in the Yachats area, although he was not able to land due to the rocky shore.  On March 7, 1787 he purportedly named the 800-foot high cape after Saint Perpetua whose birthday fell on that date.
